The best way to characterize Dan and Dean, the owners of Bolar is: "on time and on budget". I had a major renovation of 3,000 sq. ft. and 2,400 sq. ft. new construction. I also had an ambitious schedule to complete the project in 6 months to accommodate an Olympic rental. Despite the additional complexities arising from renovation, Bolar secured fixed prices for substantial parts of my project before work commenced: electrical, plumbing and framing/forming. This substantially reduced risks of cost overruns. We moved out in April 2009 and moved back in Oct 2009. Throughout this time Dan and Dean demonstrated an unbelievable commitment and tenacity to my schedule and budget, while never compromising quality. They were accessible at all times and their budgeting / book keeping was transparent, allowing me to easily measure budget against expenditures.
